Dr. Brian Hathcoat

Dr. Brian Hathcoat grew up in a military family and spent most of his youth in the Midwest. After graduating high school, he served in the U.S. Navy, then moved to California to attend U.C. Berkeley, where he earned a B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering. He worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory prior to attending dental school at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, where he earned his DDS. Prior to joining the office of Dr. Sandra Gadwood, Dr. Hathcoat worked as a public health dentist for Contra Costa Health Services, primarily at the West County Health Center, and as an associate at a private dental practice. He volunteers dental services regularly with nonprofit organizations throughout the state. Dr. Hathcoat is active in the Contra Costa County Dental Society. Dr. Hathcoat enjoys working with people of all ages and aims to make your dental visit comfortable and informative. He regularly attends continuing education classes and is constantly learning about current advancements in dentistry. In his free time, he enjoys many hobbies including cooking, golf, cycling, reading, and cars.

Terri | Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator
Originally from Colorado, Terri began her dental career 30+ years ago as a dental assistant before transitioning to the front office. She enjoys helping patients plan and schedule appointments, understand insurance and treatment, and she aims to make patients happy. During her free time, she enjoys going to 49ers and Giants games, and vacationing to visit her family in Colorado. She is married to her wonderful husband Mario and they have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren.

Maribel | Receptionist and Dental Assistant
A San Pablo native, Maribel has a passion for helping others. Whether she is welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, or assisting the doctor, she always has a big smile and relaxing demeanor. She started her dental assisting career 9 years ago at a community clinic in Oakland, where they served those unable to afford dental care. When she’s not working, she spends her time with her daughter, Mia, visiting Disneyland, or Enjoying concerts and local events.
